1874: At 11 o’clock in the evening Fr Jean Baptist Etienne dies peacefully in the age of 73. Ordained priest in 1824, the General Assembly elected him a Superior General in 1843.
1921: Daughters of Charity start their service for sick in the Red Cross hospital in Ceuta, Morocco, due to royal ordnance of January 21, which confined the hospital service to Daughters. The General Council approved it on March 12, 1921. In 1972 there were 14 houses of Daughters of Charity in Morocco.
