Recibido en la congregaci\u00f3n en 1676, fue sucesivamente superior de varias casas\u00a0 importantes, Saint-Brieuc, Saint-Pol-de-L\u00e9on, donde inaugur\u00f3 el establecimiento, Tours, Sainte-Anne-de-Metz. Ya asistente del superior general, hab\u00eda sido de un maravilloso alivio para el Sr. Watel, quien sinti\u00f3 vivamente esta p\u00e9rdida, y habl\u00f3 de ella as\u00ed al anunci\u00e1rsela a la congregaci\u00f3n:<\/p>\n<p>\u00abLa Compa\u00f1\u00eda acaba de sufrir una p\u00e9rdida considerable en la persona\u00a0 del Sr. Bessi\u00e8re, y yo en particular,\u00a0 pierdo con ella m\u00e1s de lo que pudiera decir, consejo, ayuda y consuelo.
