Es el propio santo quien nos ha trazado en estas pocas l\u00edneas el elogio del admirable hermano, al anunciar su muerte ocurrida el mes de julio de 1660, en la casa de Sedan, de la que formaba parte:<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab<em>Dios ha querido<\/em>, escrib\u00eda san Vicente, <em>privarnos de uno de nuestros mejores Hermanos, se trata de Pierre Sirvent, que era en Sedan la regla viviente de la Compa\u00f1\u00eda: hombre prudente e inteligente, bienhechor para todo el mundo, que se entregaba de buen grado al alivio de los pobres enfermos y al consuelo de los afligidos. Toda la ciudad, que le quer\u00eda mucho, ha testimoniado un gran pesar por su privaci\u00f3n, incluso los herejes, que se sent\u00edan movidos por su modestia y su caridad.
