A Nicolas De Bailleul, Pr\u00e9vot Des Marchands"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"right\">25 juillet 1625.<\/p>\n<p>Supplie humblement Vincent de Paul, principal du coll\u00e8ge des Bons-Enfants<span id='easy-footnote-1-107730' class='easy-footnote-margin-adjust'><\/span><span class='easy-footnote'><a href='http:\/\/vincentians.com\/fr\/vincent-de-paul-lettre-0011-a-nicolas-de-bailleul-prevot-des-marchands\/#easy-footnote-bottom-1-107730' title='Jean-Fran\u00e7ois de Gondi, archev\u00eaque de Paris, avait c\u00e9d\u00e9 \u00e0 saint Vincent de Paul, le 1er mars 1624, le principalat du coll\u00e8ge des Bons-Enfants, afin qu&amp;rsquo;il e\u00fbt un local pour loger les pr\u00eatres d\u00e9sireux de se joindre \u00e0 lui en vue de donner des missions dans les campagnes. Ce coll\u00e8ge, un des plus anciens de l&amp;rsquo;Universit\u00e9, \u00e9tait presque abandonn\u00e9 ; ses murs tombaient en ruines. Le saint attendit la mort de Madame de Gondi pour venir l&amp;rsquo;habiter. Il eut, au d\u00e9but, deux auxiliaires : Antoine Portail, qui lui restera fid\u00e8le jusqu&amp;rsquo;\u00e0 la mort, et un autre pr\u00eatre, dont on ignore le nom, mais qui n&amp;rsquo;est certainement pas Adrien Gambart, comme on l&amp;rsquo;a suppos\u00e9 \u00e0 tort, car Adrien Gambart fut ordonn\u00e9 pr\u00eatre en 1633.
