1794<\/b><\/i>: Fr Jean Guibaud is guillotined in Mans. Born on January 1761 in Toucas in the region of Var. After priestly ordinations was sent to Mans. There he gave missions until 1792 when the constitutional bishop was introduced to the town. Lazarists were ordered to leave their Mission. Jean Guiband found refuge in various places of town. He was denounced by a woman who came to confession. Arrested on February 1794 and sentenced for death because of he was a priest of the Congregation of the Mission.<\/p>\n

1921<\/b><\/i>: In Paris, Fr Francis Verdier, Superior General, erects Province of Holland of the Congregation of the Mission. It consisted of four establishments in Netherlands, three in Bolivia and the Apostolic Vicariate of Tchely in Far East. Fr. Henry Romans was nominated the first Visitor. In years of his administration number of houses within the Kingdom doubled and two vice-provinces of Brasil and Java were derived from mother province.<\/p>\n
1926<\/b><\/i>: Fr. Verdier upgrades vice-province of Hungary of the Congregation of the Mission to be an independent province. Fr. Aronffy became its first Visitor. This moved increased number of local vocations in the Congregation. Unfortunately, years of Nazi occupation and communist persecutions lead all houses of the province to be closed. All confreres were dispersed for years. Province of Hungary was restored after collapse of communist government in 1990s.<\/p>\n
1929<\/b><\/i>: Fr Anthony Salat dies in Paris, born in Calat on October 14, 1855. Since August 15, 1928 he was Assistant of Maison Mere and since October 10, the same year Visitor of Province of France.
