1664<\/b><\/i>: Fr. Nicholas Etienne is massacred on Madagascar. He was admitted to the Congregation by St. Vincent himself in the age of 19. With his right hand handicapped he wasn’t expected to become priest. Ordained in 1659. He arrived to Fort Dauphin, Madagascar on September 29, 1663 devoting completely to missionary work.<\/p>\n
