1660. In Paris dies Fr. Antoine Portail (born. November 22, 1590 in Beaucaire). One of the closest companions of St. Vincent de Paul. He was the first Director of Daughters of Charity.

1697. Fr. Nicolas Talec dies. He was seventh Director of Daughters of Charity.

1794. Daughters of Charity from Arras arrested. They were martyred four months later on June 26.

1911. In Antura, Lebanon, dies Fr. Alfonso Saliège (born on December 8, 1813 in Mauriac, region Auvergne, central France). He came to Lebanon on April 30, 1879. Created, built and lead the College of St. Joseph in Antura. He was devoted to formation and teaching the clergy.
